Where to buy
L'Homme is a perfume woven from multiple personalities and thus capable of seducing a particularly wide range of women. Focus on this fragrance that has become a staple of men's perfumery.
The assertive masculinity of Yves Saint Laurent
While Yves Saint Laurent had accustomed us to more restrained men's fragrances, L'Homme, on the other hand, embodies uncommon strength and virility. This fragrance is made of charisma, boldness and sensuality. It depicts the image of a very assertive yet no less complex personality. Moreover, its ultra masculinity is paired with unrivaled refinement. In this sense, L'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent fits perfectly with the image one has of the house's wardrobe. It symbolizes the unique expression of contemporary masculinity and immerses us in a world halfway between authentic luxury and more industrial modernity. Its charisma then seems entirely natural, and the new Yves Saint Laurent man seems to possess many assets to seduce women. He is at once very self-assured, while displaying a pure sensitivity. In other words, he is a kind of wanderer with a tender heart, the ultimate recipe for making women swoon! Thanks to him, Yves Saint Laurent masculinity is entirely uninhibited and contemporary, both sensual and particularly magnetic.
The aromatic and woody scent of L'Homme
Four perfumers collaborated to create the perfume L'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent. It is the work of Anne Flipo, Béatrice Piquet, Dominique Ropion and Pierre Wargnye. Together, they reclaimed the emblematic scent of the masculine fougère and added a woody tonality to it. Thus, L'Homme opens with the radiant freshness of Citron and Bergamot. This striking duo brings unrivaled dynamism to the wearer. Moreover, this is further reinforced by the slightly spicy presence of Ginger, an ingredient also known for its aphrodisiac side. Violet leaf, meanwhile, brings a more green and powdery aspect, while Basil flower reinforces its aromatic side. White pepper further contributes to spicing everything up. Finally, L'Homme ends with a very woody blend of Sandalwood, Virginia Cedar and Haitian Vetiver. Overall, it is a very warm and highly addictive fragrance. It is housed in a very streamlined glass bottle. Its sobriety is nonetheless enhanced by a large octagonal metal cap. This has an appearance similar to that of a bolt and sits atop a completely transparent base crossed by an opaque black rod. The whole perfectly symbolizes the luxury and boldness characteristic of the house of Yves Saint Laurent.

A man in black and white in the L'Homme Yves Saint Laurent ad
In order to offer an ultra masculine atmosphere, the YSL brand chose to produce a black and white advertising clip. The story unfolds in the middle of the night. We find L'Homme portrayed by the charismatic Winnie Woolston, in a hotel room. Under the camera of American director Colin Tilley, a woman admires Winnie Woolston from the shadows, and will seek to follow him everywhere. The catchy song is by the French band Aaron, Blouson Noir. While L'Homme steps out of his room and drives his superb car at full speed, the blonde enters his room and puts on his jacket. When he realizes he has forgotten his jacket, the handsome man turns back. In his room, the bottle of his favorite perfume sits on the bed, and he suspects that the seductress has been there...
