A bottle inspired by the very first Miss Dior of 1947
Upon its release, Miss Dior was presented in an amphora designed in collaboration with the house of Baccarat, forming the shape of an 8. However, this vessel was not used for very long. By 1950, Miss Dior appeared in a much more geometric bottle, cut like a tailored suit, understated and very modern for its time. It also bore some relief patterns on its glass, inspired by the famous houndstooth motif drawn from nineteenth-century menswear, so dear to Christian Dior. Its juice, meanwhile, was yellow. Finally, Miss Dior wore a small white bow tie at its neck.
It is precisely all these elements that are found again on the new Miss Dior of 2005. The cubic shape has been preserved, as has the houndstooth motif. This time, however, it is present only at the base. It serves to trace luminous relief patterns within the fragrance, capturing light rays and casting them back like a kaleidoscope. The small bow tie, meanwhile, is still present. This time, however, it is silver.
