The history of the Miss Dior collection

It was in 1947 that the very first Miss Dior perfume appeared. Christian Dior's ambition at the time was to create a perfume to dress women in a sillage of desire, and to see all of his dresses emerge from their bottle. To do this, he crafted a fragrance with a playful, innovative and elegant name. It can claim to have upended the beauty codes of its era, revealing itself through chypre and green tonalities. It was then in 2005 that this legend of perfumery was reinterpreted by the house of Dior. Then, in 2011, perfumer François Demachy reformulated this composition and reduced the popcorn accord in favor of cherry and pineapple. That same year, Miss Dior also became an Eau de Toilette based on the brightness of blood orange and neroli. Miss Dior Eau Fraîche, for its part, appeared in the spring of 2012, quickly followed by its opposite, Miss Dior Parfum, a much more intense and oriental fragrance, in the fall of 2012. In 2014, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet then appeared, unveiling a delicate bouquet of roses and peonies trimmed with peach and apricot. It was precisely in this lineage that Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming appeared, in 2016.
