The story of Miss Dior begins in 1947. Christian Dior wished to dedicate his first perfume to his sister, Catherine, with whom he shared his childhood. Because Christian Dior was a lover of flowers, Miss Dior thus drew quite naturally on the scents that emanated from their house in Granville. In 2005, the house of Dior nevertheless decided to modernize its first fragrance, while keeping the same name, but in a way that was more radiant, more spontaneous. In 2012, the house of Dior revisited Miss Dior as an Eau de Parfum that was more chypre, sensual and more floral. In 2014, the revisiting took the form of a haute couture gown sewn entirely from flowers, so the perfume inevitably had to be called Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet.
