Irresistible Rose Velvet

At Givenchy, women have always been perceived as utterly irresistible beings. As proof, in 2003 the house created an eau de toilette named Very Irresistible. In 2015, it was the turn of Live Irresistible to make its appearance. Then, the Irresistible collection emerged in 2020, embodying the image of a woman more spontaneous and authentic than ever. Since then, this feminine juice has kept reinventing itself. In 2023, it becomes Irresistible Rose Velvet by Givenchy.

The natural charm of the Irresistible Rose Velvet by Givenchy woman

Irresistible Rose Velvet by Givenchy is aimed at a woman who defies the laws of attraction and galvanizes crowds without even trying. Authentic and spontaneous, she seduces through her youthful energy. Terribly mischievous, she gives herself over to pure seduction. Her spontaneity is simply contagious. On screen, this natural and captivating facet is embodied by the lovely Fran Summers, a regular on the runways, and more particularly at Givenchy shows. Lively, vibrant and always herself, the model is in perfect harmony with the message conveyed by this perfume. Her motto is very simple: whoever loves her follows her!

Irresistible Rose Velvet: a floral, chypre and musky perfume

On a purely olfactory level, Irresistible Rose Velvet by Givenchy reclaims one of the greatest icons of feminine perfumery: rose. However, Givenchy does not settle for simplicity. In fact, the house designed a custom-made flower, combining four different rose extracts. Irresistible Rose Velvet contains, more precisely, Essential rose, rosewater concentrate, Ultimate rose and Moschata rose. Their velvety tenderness is then steeped in patchouli milk. Blackcurrant, for its part, refreshes the whole with its tangier facet. Powdery iris appears as a refined caress. The whole closes on a duo of musk and sandalwood.

The very minimalist bottle of Irresistible Rose Velvet

Irresistible Rose Velvet by Givenchy comes in the same bottle as its predecessors. It clearly relies on transparency and is free of any superfluous flourish. It resembles a glass cube fitted with a soft pink juice. This is also the shade found on its shimmering cap. A small powder pink ribbon is also attached at its neck, while metallic side facets add further refinement to this case. The only new element: Givenchy's emblematic prisms have now disappeared from its glass. More than ever, the house relies on purity and clarity. As for sizes, Irresistible Rose Velvet by Givenchy is available in three different formats, in 35, 50 or 80 ml spray bottles.

For variety, one may also discover the other fragrances in the collection, such as Irresistible Eau de Toilette or Irresistible Eau de Toilette Fraiche.

Olfastory’s review

In 2020, the house of Givenchy gave birth to a new women's perfume, a symbol of spontaneity and authenticity. Named Irresistible, this addictive juice immediately achieved great success. In 2023, it is declined for the fourth time. It becomes Irresistible Rose Velvet. As its name suggests, it now involves a rose that is more velvety, akin to velvet. So what does this fragrance actually consist of? A breakdown of this composition.

Fran Summers, face of the line
