La Vie est Belle L'Eclat
La Vie Est Belle by Lancôme is much more than a simple perfume. It is an invitation onto the path of happiness. This optimism is embodied on screen by the alluring actress Julia Roberts, filmed by director James Gray and sublimely dressed in an immaculate white gown created by the couturier Alexandre Vauthier.

Where to buy
As if to echo this sublime gown, at once chic, fairy-tale-like and exceedingly elegant, Lancôme decided to create a new flanker of its perfume. Lancôme's new essence is called La Vie Est Belle L'Eclat and it too wears a new, particularly sparkling crystal robe.
The new recipe of La Vie Est Belle L'Eclat
Since its creation in 2012, La Vie Est Belle is a perfume that has never stopped reinventing itself. It successively became an Eau de Parfum Légère in 2013, an Eau de Toilette and an Absolu de Parfum in 2014, an Eau de Parfum Intense and an Extrait in 2015, an Eau de Toilette Florale in 2016 and a Bouquet de Printemps Edition in 2017. Yet it is indeed a brand-new version that Lancôme offers with La Vie Est Belle L'Eclat. This time, the emphasis has truly been placed on freshness. La Vie Est Belle L'Eclat opens with a fresh, citrus scent of bergamot. This is a citrus fruit at the crossroads between the lemon tree and the bitter orange tree. It is both tender and slightly bitter, giving this perfume a hint of eau de Cologne. Then, the femininity of La Vie Est Belle L'Eclat comes through in its heart, in a blend of white flowers dominated by the sun-kissed presence of orange blossom. This gives the whole a more Mediterranean feel. Finally, everything softens at the base. La Vie Est Belle L'Eclat wraps itself in sandalwood. Vanilla, in turn, makes the whole more syrupy and carnal, enveloping it in an incandescent, exotic warmth.
Lancôme's flamboyant bottle
Beyond the scent of this perfume, its real novelty also lies in its bottle. Indeed, while the look of La Vie Est Belle L'Eclat is immediately recognizable, it is not without surprise either. La Vie Est Belle L'Eclat kept the shape of its predecessors. It must be said that the bottle of La Vie Est Belle is a genuine part of the heritage of the house of Lancôme. It was created in 1949 by Armand Petitjean and George Delhomme. Not having found an immediate use, it was shelved. It was only in 2012 that it was brought out of the archives to be paired with the fragrance La Vie Est Belle. It traces a wide glass smile at its base. It is strikingly reminiscent of Julia Roberts's sumptuous smile, as if this perfume were meant for her. This time, this shape is clearly highlighted through a sumptuous glasswork treatment. Lancôme added multiple facets to the surface of its bottle, so as to create numerous reflections within its juice. The whole proves more refined than ever and thus becomes akin to a sumptuous jewel.

The advertising
I think a lot of people are scared to be happy because of what other people might think, they're afraid to embrace it and to embrace themselves, to love themselves and to do what they love and to do what makes them happy. My story is going to be a happy one, forever, no matter what. These were the words spoken by Rihanna about her song Diamonds when it was released. So using this song for the advertisement of Lancôme's La Vie Est Belle perfume seemed almost inevitable. It is now a reality, in the brand-new 2018 advertising clip from the house!
La Vie Est Belle, a manifesto for joie de vivre
La Vie Est Belle by Lancôme goes well beyond a simple perfume. It is akin to a manifesto of freedom. It touches on everything that is most personal and most intimate. It thus only strengthens the special bond that exists between Lancôme and its customers. It plays on emotion and relies on respect and sincerity. Far from excess of any kind, and far from fleeting trends, it offers an image of natural beauty. With it, Lancôme encourages women to live according to their own choices, free from constraint. The idea is above all to find one's own path to happiness. La Vie Est Belle by Lancôme is a declaration of grace, balance and joy made to the world.
Julia Roberts, Lancôme's timeless face
But who better than the actress with the most beautiful smile to embody all of this? To play the part of La Vie Est Belle, Lancôme once again called on the talents of Julia Roberts. Lancôme's ambassador since 2010, the former Pretty Woman continues her collaboration with the brand. This is the third campaign for the perfume La Vie Est Belle, unveiled on August 26, 2018 and directed by the visual artist Bruno Aveillan.
The fairy-tale atmosphere of the advertisement for La Vie Est Belle
The 2018 advertisement for La Vie Est Belle takes place on the Trocadéro esplanade, directly facing the Eiffel Tower. The theme is shared happiness. Before our eyes, live from a rather monotonous gala evening, Julia Roberts brings smiles back to the guests. Strolling in a white gown through a worldly, dreary crowd, she lights up the pavement as she passes. She reconciles a couple with a rose, plays carefree in the water of a fountain, and suggests to a man that he look up from his phone to pay attention to his companion. The atmosphere is particularly fairy-tale-like, conceived in a violet tonality. The scene unfolds to the song Diamonds by Rihanna, reinterpreted by Josef Salvat.
