La Vie Est Belle was created in 2012. Since then, it has remained the brand's best-selling perfume. Its promise? It is a universal invitation to make life more beautiful. In 2023, it gained a new flanker of its scent. Named La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu, this new feminine juice comes in a bottle with rippled glass, like a multiplied smile and the promise of infinite happiness. Let us take a closer look at what makes up this refreshing essence…

Floral Mediterranean as a source of inspiration

To design its perfume, the house of Lancôme did not have to look very far. It drew inspiration from its gardens located in Provence, at the heart of the world capital of perfumery. The result is a wildly Mediterranean perfume, whose scent resembles that of a fig grove, of wild grass warmed by the sun. Authentic and generous, La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu is a captivating juice, seemingly vibrant with happiness. According to the perfumers behind its creation, namely Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo, the inspiration came from Mediterranean scents and the gardens of Lancôme's Domaine de la Rose in Grasse (...). They explain that they wanted a more natural version of La Vie Est Belle, with scents of fig trees and green notes evoking wild grasses.

The olfactory pyramid of La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu by Lancôme

More specifically, La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu opens with a fresh, tangy scent. Its sparkling opening comes from a juicy blackcurrant accord. Then, the gourmand character gains ground and fig reinforces the sun-kissed warmth of this fragrance. At its heart, La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu clearly relies on one of the most refined ingredients in the entire perfumer's palette: iris. For the occasion, it is 10 times more concentrated than in the original formula of La Vie Est Belle. It immediately unfolds a powdery, floral sensuality. Finally, patchouli reinforces the structure and longevity of this creation.

Lancôme opts for rigorously selected ingredients

To design this perfume, the house of Lancôme spared no expense. Indeed, this juice contains a great deal of iris. Yet this is one of the most expensive raw materials in perfumery. Indeed, this flower is also nicknamed the perfumer's blue gold. For La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu by Lancôme, the iris is exclusively grown and harvested in France. In addition, the Bali patchouli that emerges in its base notes comes from a sustainable supply chain. More than ever, La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu by Lancôme belongs to the realm of fine perfumery. The result is a highly high-quality sillage, a testament to all of Lancôme's savoir-faire, a symbol of French refinement since 1935.
