J’adore l’Or is the perfume essence of the J’adore line. Created in 2010 by François Demachy around jasmine and rose absolutes from Grasse, it was recomposed in 2023 by Francis Kurkdjian, who renamed it L’Or de J’adore and tightened the bouquet around three absolutes: orange blossom, jasmine grandiflorum, and centifolia rose.
The J’adore amphora, whose necklace became in 2023 a fluid, organic gold that hugs the glass, with a glass pearl on the cap.
L’Or de J’adore keeps the J’adore amphora, all curves and roundness. For the 2023 version, the house reinvented the emblematic necklace as an organic, precious metal that ripples and hugs the glass, echoing the warmth of the fragrance.
Francis Kurkdjian explains that he melted the gold rings circling the neck into a single fluid collar: gold, he says, yields its purest quality when it is melted. The glass smile is softened, and a pearl, now made of glass, sits on the cap.
In 2010, the house already described a bottle adorned like a jewel: the neck of the amphora was wrapped in an ultra-fine gold thread and the base grew heavier, for an essence whose hue recalled molten gold.
