J'adore Touche de Parfum

J’adore was born in 1999 at Dior. In 2015, François Demachy, the house’s perfumer-creator, devised a singular object for the line: a perfume base designed to be applied in touches before the chosen J’adore.

Demachy presents it as an invitation to make J’adore one’s own and to compose, as desired, a made-to-measure fragrance. The house emphasizes the gesture: the touch reacts to the skin, to the spot where it is placed and to the perfume that accompanies it, for an infinite range of variations.

A sandalwood from Sri Lanka

For the sandalwood, Demachy formed a partnership with a Sri Lankan grower. The species chosen, Santalum album, is native to India; its plantation, run as a nursery of young trees, yields a wood the house describes as of rare quality.

The Damascena rose comes from Turkey and Bulgaria, the sambac jasmine from India. These three materials, chosen to blend with every version of J’adore, underline its floral and woody notes.
