The year 2020 holds a new surprise: Paco Rabanne has just announced the release of its new, highly masculine and explosive fragrance: Invictus Onyx.

Invictus Onyx, a perfume carved straight from marble

First of all, to better understand the world of this new perfume, let us begin by looking at its material: onyx. It is a black stone, streaked with a few silvery veins, as if minerals and metal had suddenly fused together to create a genuine shockwave! Highly virile, onyx embodies both sturdiness and refinement at once. In Antiquity, it was a widely used ornamental stone, notably for crafting decorative objects. Thus, by drawing inspiration from onyx, Paco Rabanne reaffirms the timeless dimension of its fragrance and once again plunges us into a bygone era: one where gods and heroes reigned supreme!
Invictus Onyx comes in a bottle with a well-known silhouette: that of a trophy, synonymous with victory. However, its former transparent blue color has disappeared, along with its silver cap. Its entire stature has now been reimagined in opaque black, with a slightly marbled base. As one can tell, Paco Rabanne's new bottle seems carved directly from onyx, like a kind of ancient cup.

Invictus Onyx, an explosive and sensual perfume

Invictus Onyx by Paco Rabanne is aimed at all men who are not faint-hearted and who are not afraid to display their charisma for all to see. A woody perfume, it exudes absolute intensity, heightened by the presence of highly contrasted raw materials. On one side, its top notes play the freshness card. On the other, a more spicy and warm pulse can be felt. The result is a striking sensuality, electrified with black pepper while lit up by orange blossom. Invictus Onyx opens with a marine accord paired with grapefruit peel and laurel leaf. Then, a more seductive and masculine return of guaiac wood warms the atmosphere at its heart. It is also at this point that an ambergris accord appears, the animalic and sexy ingredient par excellence. Here, it leaves a saline impression on skin that invites closeness.
