Invictus Onyx comes in a bottle well known to the general public. Indeed, its shape remains identical to that of its predecessors. In this case, its bottle takes on the appearance of a trophy. Far more than a simple rectangular container, this bottle conveys a message. The man who wears this perfume is a conqueror, ready to do whatever it takes to achieve his goal! What is more, in this Invictus Onyx version, Paco Rabanne goes even further. A black color now covers its walls. The former bluish transparency has been traded for a much darker, more virile color. A few white nuances also appear here and there, as if the Invictus Onyx bottle had been carved straight from marble. Through this material, Invictus Onyx conveys all its sturdiness while giving itself a new timeless quality. Indeed, ever since the launch of its first version, it has plunged us into an ancient world, as if the Paco Rabanne man possessed almost divine origins. Undeniably, Paco Rabanne once again rides this journey through time. Visually, Invictus Onyx is a resounding success!
Invictus Onyx dares a highly contrasted formula
But then, in terms of scent, does it truly manage to transform itself? To create Invictus Onyx, Paco Rabanne called on four perfumers among the most talented of their generation, namely Véronique Nyberg, Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion and Olivier Polge. Together, they imagined a marine, highly refreshing perfume, built from highly contrasted raw materials. First, mandarin blends with the bitter liveliness of grapefruit. A marine, slightly saline accord amplifies the liveliness of this composition. Then, in a true burst of elegance, jasmine lights up its heart, while pairing with laurel. Little by little, the initial freshness of Invictus Onyx gives way to a smoother, darker, more virile base. Ambergris reinforces its seductive side, while patchouli, oakmoss and guaiac wood underline the natural charisma of the man who wears this essence. Despite daring to combine numerous contrasting ingredients, Invictus Onyx displays perfect harmony and leaves behind an unforgettable scent!
