How could one not pay tribute to white, to light and to the transparencies created by the glass and crystal masters René and Marc Lalique? Sunlight was the source of life for all their glass creations, all their perfume bottles, all their most beautiful jewelry.

Naturally, Lalique drew inspiration from this radiant purity to create in 2008 a fragrance of absolute elegance and extreme freshness, which would simply be named Lalique White.

The bottle of the Lalique White Eau de Toilette has a square, virile stature and a modern, sleek tempered steel cap, much like the man who will wear this precious fragrance. As for the limited edition created, of course, by the master glassmakers, it is a jewel of technicality where the glass is blown into an orange bubble, as if weightless.

Airy and sleek, the Lalique White man is one who likes to seduce through his understated sophistication. Moreover, the perfumer who composed Lalique White likes to point out that her fragrance contains only 23 raw materials, seeking above all a pared-down, bold result rather than an amalgam of multiple scents.

Christine Nagel, the talented nose behind the creation of Lalique White, states firmly that the essence of her work on this fragrance was to modernize and contrast the spices, sometimes with icy freshness, sometimes with torrid heat.

The idea was therefore to work with spices and treat them in a way that is both fresh and warm at once. On the other hand, I chose to work with a very pared-down formula with few raw materials, delicately chosen, to highlight the depth and spirit of the spices. Spiciness is thus reinvented. Thus Lalique White offers a tangy, ultra-invigorating opening built around the finest sun-kissed citrus notes such as lemon blossom, Calabrian bergamot, or elemi, the precious gum resin from the Philippines. Then nutmeg and cardamom play against the delicately piquant note of white pepper, wrapping themselves in a pretty, graceful violet. Finally, white cedar and moss propel us toward white woody heights, distilling the light of white amber. The musks, white ones of course, come to envelop the Lalique White man in a cocoon of softness.
