Oud Ispahan

Dior presents Oud Ispahan as the intimate meeting of an enveloping oud wood note and a sensuous Damask rose, composed with uncompromising boldness, with a powerful and opulent sillage. The house places it among its woody fragrances, an eau de parfum with woody and floral notes, for women and for men.

Christian Dior's Orient

The perfumer's note, at Dior, recalls Christian Dior's fascination with the Far East, an initiatory journey from which the couturier drew several creations. François Demachy, quoted by the house, opens the doors there to a palace with ochre walls: the smoky sillage of burning wood, the softness of a flower water, rose, incense, resin.

Gaia Fishler, on The Non-Blonde, reviewed it in October 2012 and notes that Dior joins the oud trend with a much-seen rose-oud theme; Olfactorum, in 2021, returns to it in a series devoted to oud. Wikiparfum makes it an uncompromising fragrance, a woody force and a spicy, resolute Damask rose.

What the house makes of it today

Dior sells Oud Ispahan in 50, 100 and 200 ml, engraving available, a trial sample included with the order, and has given it an Esprit de Parfum, a higher concentration within La Collection Privée. Perfumed soap and body lotion have extended the line since 2026 within the collection's art of perfuming.
