Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Parfum
Chanel reinterprets Chance Eau Tendre in an Eau de Parfum version. Is it not said that fortune favors the bold? In this respect, the house of Chanel has never hesitated to force destiny and pave its own way to success.

Where to buy
Once again, the house has decided to echo its history by crafting a new fragrance named Chance Eau Tendre. A reinterpretation of a first perfume created in 2002, this composition places emphasis on femininity, for a result that is more floral and fruity than ever. Let us look in more detail at this new wheel of fortune offered by the house of Chanel.
Chance Eau Tendre, a rounder and more feminine fragrance than ever
The new Chance Eau Tendre comes in a bottle with a round silhouette, identical to that of its predecessors. Its transparent base is a symbol of luminosity and hope. Its roundness, in turn, echoes the natural generosity of women. Moreover, this femininity also now resurfaces in a pink-colored juice. Its once silver ring has disappeared in favor of a most refined golden hue. Finally, Chance Eau Tendre is topped with a cap resembling a precious stone. This faceted cube is a direct nod to the bottle of the iconic Chanel N°5. Once again created by Olivier Polge, Chanel's official perfumer, Chance Eau Tendre floods the senses with a scent more floral and fruity than ever. More intense and enveloping than its predecessors, it expresses the image of a radiant and self-assured femininity. Its floral heart combines the opulence of jasmine with the richness of rose essence. Chance Eau Tendre also draws all its freshness from a tangy, gourmand opening of grapefruit and quince. The whole finally concludes with a soft, creamy sillage of white musk.
Fortune, an intimate connection with Gabrielle Chanel
Now that the details of this composition are known, let us tell you more about its name… If Chanel decided to create a collection named Chance, it is above all to echo Gabrielle Chanel herself. Between Chanel and chance, it is a long story. First of all, the two words resemble each other. They seem made for one another, differing by only a single letter. At the same time, Gabrielle Chanel believed deeply in chance. Chance is my soul, she used to say. Coco Chanel was convinced that true fortune was one that is created, that to seize it one had to recognize it, but above all to provoke it. Gabrielle Chanel always maintained an intimate relationship with chance. An ambitious woman, she also surrounded herself with numerous lucky charms. The perfume Chance Eau Tendre is a concentrate of softness and femininity, which nonetheless encourages the woman who wears it to be unreasonable. Awakening desire and filled with surprises, it releases a delightful insolence in its wake. It is, in a way, a reflection of Gabrielle Chanel's personality.

The advertising
The advertisement for the launch of Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Parfum
Chanel's Chance perfume appeared in 2002, arriving, just like fortune itself, where least expected. Favoring the bold and speaking to adventurous, mischievous women, it immediately won over Chanel's clientele. Thus, year after year, it has reinvented itself, revealing several facets of its personality. In 2019, the newcomer is called Chance Eau Tendre, wrapped for the occasion in grapefruit and quince, while illuminated with a more exotic jasmine absolute and a more feminine rose. And of course, a new fragrance launch inevitably calls for a new advertisement. Chanel's latest campaign is signed by the talented Jean-Paul Goude, who this time chooses to stage a dance audition full of panache!
The Chance Eau Tendre casting orchestrated by Jean-Paul Goude
To showcase the Chance Eau Tendre perfume, Jean-Paul Goude chooses to take the audience behind the scenes of an audition for a cabaret-style ballet. The scene unfolds in a theater and features a multitude of dancers, highlighted by colorful tutus, swaying their hips while holding a tufted velvet chair. The movements performed by the young women were choreographed by American choreographer Ryan Heffington, with the whole scene set to a soundtrack by Sam Spiegel. After the bowling-themed world of 2015, Jean-Paul Goude here creates an atmosphere worthy of a 1950s music hall. Everything unfolds in high spirits, and the joie de vivre of the house of Chanel becomes contagious. At the end of this frantic competition, four young artists are selected. They are Abby Champion, Camille Hurel, Ysaunny Brito and Rianne Van Rompaey, the new faces of the Chance Eau Tendre campaign. The fortunate chosen ones then let their joy burst forth, well aware of the chance being offered to them!
Jean-Paul Goude and Chanel, a long-standing collaboration
This new advertisement is far from a first for the talented Jean-Paul Goude, who has continued to collaborate with the house of Chanel and impose his vibrant vision for many years. Jean-Paul Goude has been infusing the world of luxury with his playful touch for more than 15 years. His poetic world enchants everyday life, and Jean-Paul Goude says he is delighted by this collaboration. What is chance, he says? To be honest, I do not really know. My own good fortune, however, and I say this without flattery, is working for Chanel. He adds that it is a pleasure for him to work with choreographer Ryan Heffington and musician Sam Spiegel. The two of them suit me perfectly. They approach the advertising film somewhat the way I do, naively and spontaneously. Working with them, I feel as though I am back in one of those 1950s music halls where everything seems to flow along in complicity and good spirits. So, what is stopping you from letting yourself be swept away by this wave of optimism signed Chanel?
