Fall Flowers

The venerable perfume house Guerlain has worked alongside the greatest glassmakers to present its greatest olfactory achievements in precious bottles. By creating a distinguished partnership with the Japanese porcelain house of Satoru Matsumoto, heir to seven generations of master porcelain makers, Guerlain reaffirms its values and its roots. Fall Flowers, composed by Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk, honors the precious bottle of their fresh and warm floral composition.

If it needs to be pointed out, the perfume house Guerlain is certainly one of the oldest perfumery names still in existence today. It is also one that, from generation to generation, has managed to pass down values of prestige, quality and unique craftsmanship. However, it is sometimes forgotten that around prestigious perfumes, there are also, very often, prestigious glassmaking or porcelain artisans dressing Guerlain fragrances in the most beautiful bottles.

While the Japanese porcelain house had never before dressed a Guerlain perfume bottle, this became reality with Fall Flowers from the Guerlain Les Pièces d'Exception collection, and then a few months later for the historic bottle of Mitsouko in its original fragrance. For Fall Flowers, however, the work of Arita Porcelain Lab mainly enhances the inverted heart with a hand-drawn autumnal floral design and a rose-shaped cap delicately traced with gold.

Guerlain thus celebrated the anniversary of the great porcelain house Arita, which, with the same talent and the same prestigious history as the Parisian perfumers, has managed to stand the test of time to celebrate its 400th anniversary. Fall Flowers will thus be its prestigious witness.

The 1510 bottles of Fall Flowers created for the occasion of this legendary union between the venerable Japanese porcelain maker Arita and the house of Guerlain had to match the hand-drawn bottle: utterly inimitable!

Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk therefore composed for Fall Flowers an elegant and sparkling blend of typically European flowers with exotic, even Asian, flowers. Thus rose and jasmine, splendors of French perfumery and of the French flower, come alongside, to our great delight, the captivating and so typical notes of ylang-ylang and orange blossom. These floral beauties, cleverly combining the best olfactory unions between East and West, nestle into cottony, soft depths of white musks, echoing, of course, the immaculate whiteness of the bottle created specially for this Fall Flowers.
