Where to buy

Also, it is precisely to the latter that the house Balenciaga decided to pay tribute through the perfume Rosabotanica. This one creates a unique atmosphere, similar to that of an “apothecary garden”. While Balenciaga is usually rather known for the sobriety of its creations, here it seems it decided to play with eccentricity. Prepare to venture off the beaten path!

Balenciaga's enchanted garden

Rosabotanica is a true journey engaging every sense. It takes us into a distant and mysterious garden, filled with rare plants. Thus, it is a juice combining multiple essences, at once unsettling and enchanting, like those of an enormous bouquet made to seduce. Of course, the rose is present but appears in a new light, as it has never been seen before. Rosabotanica is a true olfactory symphony. It rests on multiple contrasts, highlighting fresh and radiant flowers as much as bolder and sexier plants. Overall, it is a perfume designed for a spontaneous woman unafraid to reveal her emotions. Rosabotanica is a radiant and luminous perfume designed to capture attention through its natural glow. This fragrance is absolutely fascinating, both in terms of flavors and design.

The many facets of the Rosabotanica flower

If Rosabotanica were to be a single flower, it might well be that each of its petals reveals a different flavor. This highly creative panel was crafted by perfumers Olivier Polge and Jean-Christophe Hérault. Together, they created a kind of vegetal and enchanted rose. It proves to be as romantic as it is dangerous. It is both spicy and carnal. At first, it is particularly incisive, pairing the dynamism of citrus with the impertinent facet of pepper. In contrast, fig leaves come to soften this opening with their milky and green tonality. Then, the rose appears in the heart of Rosabotanica in its most radiant and brilliant aspect. It displays here an experimental scent, pairing with hyacinth as well as slightly camphorous cardamom. Then, little by little, Rosabotanica draws us into a more ambery and intimate momentum. This is woven with white woods and thus makes the woman wearing Rosabotanica more carnal than ever. The whole is contained in a highly graphic bottle. This is topped by an oversized and very contemporary cap. This cap is lined with black and white stripes contrasting with a bottle adorned with flowers of unexpected shapes. Thus, it is a bit as if two very different worlds had met on the bottle of Rosabotanica.

Olfastory’s review

Rosabotanica, the continuation of the exploration of Balenciaga's garden. Rosabotanica is a perfume by the house Balenciaga that follows the very famous Florabotanica. This one sees the flower in a more intimate way and works the rose under an unexpected facet. Here it is not a question of romanticism but rather its spicy, nervy and searing side. Balenciaga seems to have captured the beauty of nature to lay it against the skin of a woman eager to radiate beauty. Its main asset is its naturalness. Here, the fragrance is precisely dosed. It does not overdo things. It simply becomes a kind of second skin.
