Code Femme

Armani Code Femme is the eau de parfum Carlos Benaïm, Dominique Ropion and Olivier Polge composed for Giorgio Armani in 2006, the feminine counterpart to Armani Code. The house classifies it as a floral amber: orange blossom lifted by fresh ginger, sambac jasmine, a base of honey, sandalwood and vanilla, in a bottle designed like a dress.

Robin, on Now Smell This, finds Code Femme more safe than sexy, but very pretty and wearable, preferable to many sugary fruity florals.

What critics say

Now Smell This, April 2006

Robin opens on fresh orange and ginger, which soon give way to a soft, muted floral over a vanilla base. She judges the fragrance more safe than sexy, far from the femme fatale the advertising promises.

She nevertheless finds it very pretty and easy to wear every day, and would gladly choose it over many of the sugary fruity florals then sold at perfume counters.
