Where to buy

In 1867, the star Nicolas II bought numerous accessories to equip his horses. From that point on, its clientele would be prestigious… Created in 1951, “Eau d’Hermès” is the house's first fragrance. In 2006, Hermès presents “Terre d’Hermès”, a masculine fragrance between sky and earth.

Terre d’Hermès the parfum, an inspiration from elsewhere

Terre d’Hermès aims to be a symbolic narrative around matter and its transformation, a story that expresses the alchemical power of the elements. Terre d’Hermès Parfum is a fragrance between earth and sky. Terre d’Hermès Parfum reconnects with natural elements and the result is a perfect alchemy. This fragrance has an exceptional density that underlines its mineral and woody facets. This woody, spicy fragrance reveals a man of character, who loves to seduce through his natural charisma. Terre d’Hermès is the first masculine fragrance to be released since Rocabar in 1998. It is without question the juice that best embodies masculinity worldwide. Jean-Claude Ellena, the talented perfumer behind this juice, states that wearing Terre d’Hermès means feeling the earth, lying on one's back, eyes turned to the sky.

The woody and spicy notes of Terre d’Hermès parfum

Between sky and earth, Terre d’Hermès is a journey imbued with strength and poetry. Its facets are both woody and mineral. Terre d’Hermès opens with the bright notes of lemon and orange citrus, accompanied by shiso, a Japanese aromatic herb with green, minty accents. The heart is composed of mineral notes paired with flint. The base is meant to be ultra sensual and very masculine, containing benzoin, oakmoss and woody notes. The nectar of Terre d’Hermès sits in a transparent bottle that is nonetheless understated and very elegant. Designer Philippe Mousquet proposed a container shaped like an “H”, a design that fits perfectly into a virile hand.

A true meeting between man and nature, Terre d’Hermès is an ultra masculine fragrance. Here, everything comes together to make this perfume a masculine dream. Water and earth combine to offer a fragrance endowed with mineral and woody facets… A marvel.

Olfastory’s review

Hermès is a French house that was first famous for its leatherwork, mainly linked to the equestrian world. Then, the house specialized in travel leather goods, before gradually broadening its universe. Thus, Hermès has always been deeply attached to our Earth and to the discovery of its many landscapes. Drawing on these various elements, Hermès created a men's Eau de Toilette named Terre d’Hermès in 2006. Today, this juice is considered a true icon of masculine perfumery. Moreover, its range has gradually expanded. As proof, Terre d’Hermès Parfum is its 2009 edition. Presented as a more intense and denser juice than this original fragrance, what is really true about its ingredients? Here is our review of this composition.
