Terre d'Hermès Parfum

Terre d’Hermès Parfum is the parfum version of Terre d’Hermès, created in 2009 by Jean-Claude Ellena three years after the eau de toilette. Hermès describes it as a warm, woody fragrance in which cedar, grapefruit and shiso rest on flint, benzoin and oakmoss. Its bottle, designed by Philippe Mouquet, stands on a more pronounced orange H.

In 2009, Jean-Claude Ellena, then Hermès’s in-house perfumer, gave Terre d’Hermès a new density by creating its Parfum version, offered as a 75 ml spray. Terre d’Hermès Eau de Toilette, launched in 2006, told the story of man’s bond with the earth; the Parfum carries that story further.

A rewriting rather than an intense version

The perfumer refuses to see it as a mere intense version of Terre d’Hermès. He speaks of a rewriting that amplifies the concept and heightens the contrasts: the mineral facet of flint becomes sharper and benzoin takes up more room.

The Terre line today

Hermès still presents Terre d’Hermès as the fragrance that connects man to his origins, in a humble and harmonious dialogue with nature and the elements. Since 2016, Christine Nagel, the house perfumer, has been exploring new facets of the line, up to Terre d’Hermès Eau de Parfum Intense in 2025.
