Eau de Campagne is the eau de toilette Jean-Claude Ellena composed in 1976 for Sisley, the house’s first fragrance, founded that same year. Sisley classifies it as a chypre, citrus and grassy scent: basil, lemon and bergamot in the top, tomato leaf, lily of the valley, jasmine and geranium at the heart, a base of oakmoss, vetiver, patchouli and musks.

Sisley launched Eau de Campagne in 1976, the year the house was founded: it is the house’s first fragrance, signed by Jean-Claude Ellena. Some reviews, on The Non-Blonde and Bois de Jasmin, nevertheless date it to 1974.

The estate in Berry

The house traces the fragrance’s origin to the d’Ornano family estate in Berry, where Hubert d’Ornano went to recharge. Its first notes came from the scent of tomato leaves crushed underfoot, among forests, meadows and vegetable gardens.

An eau for everyone

The house presents Eau de Campagne as an avant-garde unisex eau de toilette. Osmoz also intends it for men and women alike, and describes it as a fresh, natural scent.
