For this 2018 limited edition, it should be noted that the scent of Terre d’Hermès Eau de Parfum has not been changed. It remains its 2009 version. This fragrance offers a masculine breath of rare intensity. It is a concentrate of luxury that opens with the vivacity of citrus. This invigorating blend is accentuated by the presence of shiso. Likewise, Terre d’Hermès Eau de Parfum displays a more mineral character than its predecessor. Conversely, its woody signature has been stripped back, simply letting vetiver and cedar express themselves fully. Finally, Terre d’Hermès Eau de Parfum ends with comforting notes of benzoin. Through this fragrance, Jean-Claude Ellena, its creator, simply wanted to recreate the sensation that awaits when one smells the earth, lying on one's back, eyes turned to the sky.

A new collaboration between Hermès and Cyrille Diatkine

The only new element of the 2018 edition of Terre d’Hermès Eau de Parfum is therefore its bottle. To perfect its iconic H-shaped bottle, the house of Hermès called on a well-known artist: Cyrille Diatkine. Indeed, this is not the first time the brand has collaborated with him. Cyrille Diatkine continually brings a fresh perspective to Hermès creations, as he had already done, notably, in 2007, with the famous Jeu des omnibus et Dames blanches. Here, he simply chose to place dark stripes on the walls of the Terre d’Hermès Eau de Parfum bottle, echoing the play of images in clouds. The result is a limited edition with a more poetic rendering.
