Terre d'Hermès Parfum

Hermès describes Terre d’Hermès Parfum as a warm, woody fragrance that pairs an enveloping cedar and a sparkling grapefruit with a radiant note of shiso. The house sees in it the warmth and density of the woods, the softness of benzoin and the brightness of shiso.

Orange, grapefruit and shiso

The opening brings together orange and grapefruit. Shiso, a Japanese aromatic herb with green, minty accents, livens up these citrus notes; absent from the eau de toilette, it sets the Parfum’s opening apart from the very first moment.

Flint and mineral notes

The heart rests on flint and mineral notes, the signature of the line since 2006. Jean-Claude Ellena heightened this facet in the Parfum, just as he strengthened the role of benzoin, to give it a denser foundation.

Cedar, benzoin and oakmoss

In the base, cedar joins benzoin and oakmoss, whose extract appears among the ingredients of the formula. For Elena Vosnaki, this extra cedar and these mossy notes shift the composition from aromatic citrus toward woody chypre.

In 2009, Elena Vosnaki also detected pepper, geranium leaves, vetiver and patchouli, materials already present in the eau de toilette. Hermès, for its part, does not mention them in its description of the Parfum.
