Moustache by Rochas, a small olfactory revolution

Rochas did not choose to bring back into the spotlight just any perfume from its history. In fact, Moustache caused a great stir at the time of its creation. Until then, masculine essences had a tendency to cruelly lack personality. Men's perfumery was not yet truly developed. Gentlemen at the time perfumed themselves with simple Eaux de Cologne. Moustache dared to offer us a new representation of perfumery, defining an unprecedented refinement for men. Its name, meanwhile, appeared as an obvious choice to its creator when he visited the Louvre museum and stopped in front of the portrait of Charles I of England, painted by Van Dyck. It is precisely the whole personality of this strong and conquering man that resurfaces from this essence. Even today, although this perfume of yesteryear has been transformed, its unalterable charisma is still present.

Moustache Eau de Parfum, an explosive recipe in a timeless bottle

Moustache Eau de Parfum offers a brand new recipe, at once harmonious yet highly contrasted. This perfume plays on unexpected combinations between ingredients that are complete opposites. At first, the tangy freshness of mandarin is counterbalanced by the spicy warmth of pink pepper. This bold opening is both vivid and appealing. Then, Moustache Eau de Parfum is enriched with an elegant, woody heart, blending Bulgarian rose with Atlas cedar. Masculine and feminine codes intertwine as if to further blur the lines. Powerful and dense at once, Moustache Eau de Parfum further amplifies its pronounced character with a darker note of patchouli. Its virility gradually becomes warmer. Finally, Moustache Eau de Parfum closes with a combination of vanilla and benzoin. The whole is presented in a timeless bottle, similar to that of Rochas's very first composition. Its bottle forms a thick, finely sculpted glass cylinder. Its solid base is a mark of its full virility, as is its metallic black cap. Its iconic red label still decorates its front face. Only its juice is more amber than before, as if to embody all the warmth and sensuality it holds at its heart.
