Between François Demachy, the Dior perfume house and the flowering lands of Grasse, the love story is eternal. Miss Dior Le Parfum appears to be, once again, the privileged olfactory witness to it.
François Demachy was born in Grasse, the French cradle of rose and jasmine; he indeed worked in their harvest and production even before becoming a perfumer. After brilliant studies and a fine succession of scented creations, François Demachy became the in-house nose of the Dior house. It was natural and important for the perfumer to reconnect with this unique olfactory heritage in order to offer partnerships of excellence to a house already closely tied to Provence through its founder.
When one is a great perfume house, it is our duty to sustain these crops without which high perfumery would have disappeared, according to François Demachy for Dior.
Thus the Dior house laboratory is now located in Grasse amid the flower fields, and François Demachy, like a craftsman of perfumery, often goes himself in search of the finest raw materials. As for Miss Dior Le Parfum, the May rose in the heart is grown in Grasse. As for the bergamot in the top notes, it comes from southern Calabria in Italy, where François Demachy developed with his favored producer the San Carlo bergamot, sparkling with freshness. But the perfumer does not hesitate to travel many kilometers to meet sambac jasmine growers in India in order to gather the finest flowers for Miss Dior and this new moiré variation, Miss Dior Le Parfum.

I never know when I am finished... I sometimes revisit a fragrance after its launch: meeting someone who wears it allows me to perceive its flaws and forces me to go back to work…, according to François Demachy for Dior. Thus one will hardly be surprised that François Demachy keeps reworking and enhancing this lovely Miss Dior that he holds so dear.
For this new adventure of Miss Dior with Miss Dior Le Parfum, François Demachy retained the citrus freshness of the top notes and the floral beauties of sambac jasmine, Grasse roses and orange blossom in the heart. However, the perfumer wished to bring greater oriental depth to the original, lovely Miss Dior. For Miss Dior Le Parfum, he therefore uses a magnificent Indonesian patchouli, which he pairs with a vegetal amber, a powerful vanilla and a leathery note that asserts itself as delightfully animalic.
