My Burberry Black
In 2014, the house Burberry launched a fragrance perfectly embodying its British spirit. It was then followed by an Eau de Toilette before My Burberry Black also appeared.

This entrancing and mysterious juice in turn seems to have captured the essence of a London garden just before a storm. It thus reveals a new vision of the English capital, charged for the occasion with an irresistible allure.
A concentrate of Burberry style
When Christopher Bailey, artistic director of the house Burberry, composed the fragrance My Burberry, he wanted it to symbolize the history of his house and its British soul. My Burberry represents the quintessence of the brand, he said, its ultimate embodiment in terms of fragrance, design and attitude. Moreover, it was a kind of nod to the celebrated trench coat invented by Thomas Burberry in 1912. This timeless classic remains to this day the centerpiece of the Burberry wardrobe. A fragrance inspired by the iconic Burberry trench coat had to be exceptional on every level. Thus My Burberry emerged as a concentrate of elegance and refinement. Moreover, it would seem that My Burberry Black follows exactly the same lineage. It should also be noted that the trench coat is a garment ideally designed to be worn in the rain. After all, what could be more fitting for a brand based in London? It is precisely on this aspect that the new My Burberry Black is built. It evokes the atmosphere reigning in a London garden as rain sets in, contrasting with the surrounding warmth. My Burberry Black plunges into dusk and blends floral tonalities with a candied and almost sensual quality.
The darker femininity of My Burberry Black
My Burberry Black carries the wearer to the edge of night while still managing to preserve the feminine luminosity of its predecessor. Moreover, this juice immediately displays its radiance through the presence of jasmine flower in its top notes. This white flower releases here all its refinement paired with a very opulent richness. Then, the whole develops toward a romantic heart built on rose. However, this rose appears gourmand and candied. It is also softened by the velvety presence of peach. Finally, My Burberry Black gradually darkens until it reaches a more amber and syrupy sillage containing patchouli. Its bottle, meanwhile, is very much inspired by that of its predecessor. It simply displays an overall darker and more amber coloring than before. Everything about it evokes the house's trench coat. Moreover, its cap features a horn finish evoking the signature buttons hand-sewn onto Burberry jackets. Likewise, a gabardine ribbon is hand-tied around its collar. This is the fabric invented by Thomas Burberry in 1879, a waterproof material that was revolutionary for its time. Far more than a fragrance, My Burberry Black thus appears as a distillation of the Burberry house heritage.
