Maison Margiela
Replica Beach Walk
Replica Beach Walk is an Eau de Toilette by Maison Margiela launched in 2012, composed by Jacques Cavallier and Marie Salamagne. Bergamot, lemon and pink pepper open the formula, ylang-ylang, heliotrope and coconut milk occupy the middle, musk, cedar and benzoin close it. The house recreates the memory of a walk by the sea.

Where to buy
The Paris house of Martin Margiela, founded in 1988, launched Replica in 2012, a collection of fragrances that reproduce scents of memory. Each bottle carries a cotton label indicating a place and a date, in the manner of the garments from the Replica line.
Beach Walk appeared at the end of June 2012 alongside Flower Market and Funfair Evening, the first three in the collection, as an Eau de Toilette of 100 milliliters. Jacques Cavallier and Marie Salamagne signed the trio for the house.
The label places the memory on the Corsican beach of Calvi, in 1972. The brand describes a barefoot walk on warm sand, the salty breeze and the warmth of the sun; the rope wound around the bottle extends the marine imagery.
The collection arrived in the United States in the spring of 2014, at Sephora, at $125 for the 100 milliliter bottle. The house has since offered a refill, designed for three refills of the 30 milliliter bottle or one of the large size.
