Le Parfum du 68
The Parfum du 68, a tribute to the roots of the house of Guerlain The Guerlain brand is not only an extraordinary family story, but also one of the oldest French perfumery houses. Founded in 1828 by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain, the eponymous brand opened its first boutique on rue de Rivoli.

Where to buy
In 1840, the house of Guerlain moved to rue de la Paix. It was not until 1913 that the brand settled on the legendary Avenue des Champs Élysées, at number 68. With this number, Thierry Wasser pays tribute to the roots of the house of Guerlain. “Le Parfum du 6” is a feminine fragrance that is at once spicy floral and woody.
Le Parfum du 68, all of Guerlain’s soul in a jewel case
In order to properly celebrate the 100th anniversary of its establishment at 68 Champs Élysées, Guerlain envisioned an exceptional fragrance, “Le Parfum du 68”. In 1913, Jacques Guerlain celebrated this establishment on the legendary avenue with “Le Parfum des Champs Élysées”, held in a turtle-shaped Baccarat crystal bottle, in reference to the slowness of the construction work. A century later, Thierry Wasser, the house’s official perfumer, demonstrates his ability to reinvent himself and draws a link between past and present. While Guerlain pays tribute to the creations and creators of the past century, it also envisions a new century full of promise. More than a tribute to the past, “Le Parfum du 68” is a true declaration of love.
Le Parfum du 68 Guerlain, a floral blend of warm and cold spices
After the success of “Cologne du 68”, Thierry Wasser wished to create the perfume. For this tribute, a unique essence was needed, with a large bottle worthy of the house of Guerlain. “Le Parfum du 68” opens in a rather original way, since the top notes combine warm spices with cold spices. The heart is a duo of flowers blending rose with immortelle. Finally, the base is composed of heliotrope, benzoin and a woody accord. The bottle is as majestic as a work of art. The glass bottle features clean, streamlined shapes. On the front appears a platinum-colored screen print depicting the facade of the Guerlain building. In transparency, the number 68 delicately reveals itself. The cap is finished in silver-toned metal, lending the whole a final touch of elegance.
“Le Parfum du 68” is a vibrant tribute to the beginnings of the house of Guerlain, to its ancestral savoir-faire and to its establishment at 68 Champs Élysées. Crafted like a piece of jewelry, the bottle features, of course, the screen print of the Guerlain building. Elegant in every respect, it reveals the amber color of the nectar composed to convey this message of love.
