REPLICA Ideal One appeared in 2025 in Maison Margiela’s REPLICA Fantasies: Now Smell This announced it on 28 May, as a one hundred milliliter eau de parfum. Where the Replica line reproduces memories, the Fantasies open the door to dreams and desires.

The house tells there of the magnetic intimacy between oneself and a dream partner, and entrusts this fantasy to master perfumer Christophe Raynaud. It describes a warm, subtly sweet fragrance, designed for autumn and winter but to be worn all year round, and files it among its warm and spicy, ambery scents.

The house presents it as unisex; Sephora files it in the women’s section in France, under the label of a musky fougère eau de parfum.
