N°5 L'Eau All-over

For more than a century it has flooded every corner of the planet and still remains one of the most acclaimed fragrances. As if to give it a fresh breath of modernity, it was reinterpreted in a more modern version in 2016: Chanel N°5 L'Eau. Today it is declined once again, revealing a new facet of its character. This time it becomes a body and hair mist named N°5 L'Eau All-Over Spray.

The olfactory evolutions of Chanel N°5

Chanel N°5 was created in 1921 by Ernest Beaux. Gabrielle Chanel's directive for creating this perfume was as follows: I want to create an inimitable perfume, a perfume like none ever made before, a woman's perfume, with the scent of a woman. It was not until 1954 that this exceptional essence was propelled into the spotlight by Marilyn Monroe, when the pin-up stated that she wore only a few drops of this essence to sleep. The legend was launched. Chanel then reinterpreted its scent on several occasions. In 1954, it became Chanel N°5 Eau de Cologne. Chanel N°5 Eau de Parfum, for its part, was created in 1988. Chanel N°5 Eau Première was born in 2009. Finally, the latest creation in the collection is named Chanel N°5 L'Eau and appeared in 2016.

N°5 L'Eau All-Over Spray, a new version of Chanel N°5 L'Eau

N°5 L'Eau All-Over Spray is a fragrance particularly inspired by the earlier Chanel N°5 L'Eau. In fact, many ingredients from that formula have been preserved. Its freshness has been further heightened. But what changes radically mainly concerns its alcohol concentration. Indeed, N°5 L'Eau All-Over Spray is not an essence like any other. It is a mist intended to scent the body and hair. Alcohol, however, is a highly drying substance. To avoid damaging the hair fiber, N°5 L'Eau All-Over Spray contains very little of it. As a result, this product is perfectly suited to daily use and poses no risk of damaging beautiful hair. Chanel N°5 L'Eau All-Over Spray carries an incredible freshness. It opens on a concentration of citrus and aldehydes, bringing together lemon, mandarin and orange. In a second breath, it lets a huge bouquet of more romantic flowers unfold. Rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang display all their femininity. Finally, N°5 L'Eau All-Over Spray ends on a darker, more refined base of vetiver and cedar. A soft musk further affirms the sensuality of the whole. Chanel N°5 L'Eau All-Over Spray comes in a cylindrical tube in a clean white color. This says a great deal about the airy character of its scent.
