Replica Beach Walk

Replica Beach Walk is an Eau de Toilette by Maison Margiela launched in 2012, composed by Jacques Cavallier and Marie Salamagne. Bergamot, lemon and pink pepper open the formula, ylang-ylang, heliotrope and coconut milk occupy the middle, musk, cedar and benzoin close it. The house recreates the memory of a walk by the sea.

Bergamot, lemon and pink pepper

The top note combines bergamot, lemon and pink pepper. The house adds a neroli essence to this opening and intends it to be luminous and salty, with bergamot giving, according to the house, the sensation of a summer breeze.

Ylang-ylang, heliotrope and coconut milk

The heart brings together ylang-ylang, heliotrope and coconut milk, joined by a captive material, Transluzone. The brand presents ylang-ylang as the floral warmth of the formula and coconut milk as the effect of sun-warmed skin.

Musk, cedar and benzoin

Musk, cedar and benzoin close the formula. Jessica, of Now Smell This, mostly detects an accord of citrus, ozone and coconut, after an opening crossed by an almost dirty vetiver note.

A dated memory

The cotton label gives the place and year of the memory, a device common to the entire collection. Wikiparfum classifies Beach Walk among florals and lists nine materials, including heliotrope, benzoin and coconut milk.

What the label declares

The French label adds two UV filters and three colorants that tint the juice. Among the declared allergens, benzyl salicylate, methyl anthranilate and anisic alcohol join the ylang-ylang and heliotrope listed; coumarin extends the benzoin in the base.
