Soleil de Provence
Soleil de Provence belongs to Les Paysages, the collection L’Artisan Parfumeur devotes to the regions of France. In it Daphné Bugey signs a tribute to the mimosa of the road that links Bormes-les-Mimosas to Grasse. Three declared materials, benzoin, lemon and mimosa, for a powdery floral that the house presents as a winter walk in Provence.

Where to buy
November 2022. L’Artisan Parfumeur adds a region to its Les Paysages collection and chooses the Provence of winter, that of mimosa, rather than the one of lavender fields.
An olfactory postcard
The house describes Les Paysages as postcards written by perfumers around a single material, and lodges the bottles in a marbled paper case. Bucoliques de Provence and Un Air de Bretagne belong to the same series.
The subject is the mimosa road, which runs from Bormes-les-Mimosas to Grasse. The house speaks of a winter sun, of a warm smile and of a sparkling freshness; it had already devoted a perfume to that flower, Mimosa pour Moi.
Daphné Bugey
The house attributes the juice to Daphné Bugey, master perfumer, whom it presents as a traveler drawing her inspiration from her memories of the road. She also signs Abyssae for the house.
Her name comes up among reviewers at the time of the launch, where her work for Penhaligon’s and for the La Botanique collection is recalled.
What the house sells
The eau de parfum is sold in 100 ml, at €195 on the house’s own site, engraving of the bottle included. It is worn by women and men alike, like the brand’s other juices.
