Heures d’Absence by Louis Vuitton was created by perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, who chose to evoke through it the vastness of flowers, their dreamlike spirit, but also their full modernity. This understated perfume is an ode to the flowers of Grasse. It releases a breath similar to the one that floats in the air of Provence, as floral fields stretch as far as the eye can see. To achieve this, it blends jasmine with pittosporum, a distinctly springtime flower of the region. Mimosa illuminates the whole with its yellow color and green scent. Rose, in turn, amplifies the femininity of this composition. Other ingredients such as sandalwood from Sri Lanka, musk, or Peru balsam appear in the background and enhance its floral raw materials. For its creator, in Heures d’Absence, everything serves the flowers, no element comes to constrain them or disturb their message.
