J'adore Intense

Published

J’adore Intense is the Parfum version of Dior’s J’adore line, composed by Francis Kurkdjian and launched in early 2026. The perfumer turns the J’adore bouquet into a honeyed floral nectar: ylang-ylang at the top, a duo of Damascena rose and grandiflorum jasmine tinged with apricot, and a base of sandalwood and vanilla. Rihanna is its face.

Miguel Matos hails the first J’adore he truly loves, an ambery, honeyed floral with retro accents, but remains reserved about the box and the lighter bottle.

What critics say

Miguel Matos, Fragrantica

For Miguel Matos, a Fragrantica columnist, J’adore Intense is the first J’adore he truly loves. He sees in it a break with the line: an ambery floral with retro accents, close to the honeyed florals of the 1980s, which he compares to Regine’s, released in 1989.

He notes a juicy opening marked by apricot, a spicy, honeyed accord, and the impression of a fruity tuberose joining the jasmine and rose, lifted by a very present ylang-ylang. The base turns creamy and vanillic.

He is more reserved about the object: the box seems unworthy of the house to him, and the lighter bottle, less luxurious in appearance, leaves him with mixed feelings, despite the illusion of a large drop of juice created by the very thin glass.
