Bloom Profumo Di Fiori

Profumo Di Fiori makes its appearance in the Gucci Bloom collection. When it appeared in 2017, Gucci Bloom was particularly anticipated. Indeed, it was the very first feminine fragrance to be born from the imagination of Alessandro Michele. Since then, its success has continued unabated, so much so that it has already been reinvented twice.

Where to buy

In 2020, it gives rise to a new addition once more and transforms into Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori. Still inspired by a dreamlike garden, this fragrance aims to be more sun-kissed and surreal than ever. So, how about immersing yourself in its feminine scent, as if straight out of a wonderful garden in full bloom?

Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori, a fragrance with a magical inspiration

Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori is a feminine juice inspired by a certain vision of freedom, of absolute authenticity. With it, women are free to blossom as they see fit and to choose the culture that inspires them or the art that surrounds them. From then on, their femininity is revealed and their beauty blooms before our eyes. Preserving the philosophy of the first Gucci Bloom, Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori is like a very rich white flower perfume, a bold perfume that transports you to an immense garden overflowing with flowers and plants, a bouquet of abundance. This wild garden, overflowing with colors, reflects the beauty of women in their diversity. You find everything there. Gucci Bloom is the perfume of this garden. It transports you elsewhere.

The sun-kissed bottle of Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori

First of all, Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori reveals itself in a bottle of great beauty, somewhat timeless and retro. Devoid of anything superfluous, it forms a rectangle of glass, whose walls are entirely covered with a yellow lacquer. A black-bordered label bears its name with great restraint, sharply contrasting with its explosive yellow color. Here, Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori takes on a more honeyed look. Its honey tone evokes the vitality of young spirits. Its outer packaging, meanwhile, is covered with Gucci's emblematic Herbarium toile de Jouy pattern, depicting leaves and branches of cherry blossoms. Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori comes in three different sizes: 30, 50, or 100 ml.

The deeply floral breath of Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori

In terms of scent, Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori owes its existence to Alberto Morillas. The master perfumer had the difficult task of symbolizing a dreamlike garden where magic blooms on every side. He thus created a radiant and more opulent version of the traditional Gucci Bloom. Everything begins with jasmine sambac absolute, taken up by jasmine buds at its heart. Immediately, ylang-ylang joins tuberose and offers us a luminous, exotic breath. Thoroughly feminine, Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori is gradually enriched with a woody, milky note of sandalwood. As if steeped in sunlight, it also contains iris butter and benzoin resin. Its sillage leaves behind a more animalic breath of musk. From then on, the magic takes hold and sensuality unfolds in the air.

Olfastory’s review

Gucci Bloom was created in 2017, at a time when it was particularly anticipated by fans of the Gucci house. Indeed, it was the very first feminine fragrance to be born from the imagination of Alessandro Michele. It thus offered us a complete vision of femininity, whose beauty was revealed in immense diversity. More specifically, it was an infinitely floral juice, designed as a bouquet of abundance. In 2020, Gucci decided to reinvent its feminine fragrance and turn it into Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori. Here again, flowers flood the atmosphere, while becoming even more magical and luminous. So, how does Gucci manage to reinvent its fragrance? Here is our review of this feminine perfume.

The advertising

Since 2017, the house of Gucci has drawn us into an infinitely floral universe. Its Gucci Bloom collection speaks of eternal femininity and the diversity of women around the world. Thus, the latest Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori from 2020 is no exception to the rule. It is a very rich white flower perfume, a bold perfume that transports you to an immense garden overflowing with flowers and plants, a bouquet of abundance. This wild garden, overflowing with colors, reflects the beauty of women in their diversity. You find everything there. Gucci Bloom is the perfume of this garden. It transports you elsewhere. And this is precisely what we find in its advertisement. Particularly dreamlike, it draws us into a fabulous setting and offers us an offbeat, surreal vision of women's perfumery.

The different protagonists of the advertisement for Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori

In this advertisement, Gucci does not call upon a single face of the campaign but relies on four different women to embody its perfume. Thus, its advertisement brings together director and actress Anjelica Huston, singer-songwriter Florence Welch, actress and model Jodie Turner Smith, as well as designer Susie Cave. They depict four different ways of being a woman, while immersing us in an atmosphere on the border between dream and reality. Moreover, Gucci's four faces of the campaign are magnificently portrayed by photographer and director Floria Sigismondi. Of Italian origin, this artist is famous for her dark universe, always tinged with mystery. Far from a newcomer when it comes to directing music videos or advertisements, Floria Sigismondi has already collaborated with major artists such as David Bowie, Christina Aguilera, The Cure and Marilyn Manson.

Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori: an unreal journey

The advertisement for Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori is set to the song Fade Into You by Mazzy Star. The setting, meanwhile, is the old abandoned theater of La Scarzuola, an almost unreal place, built around a former Franciscan convent, and constructed by architect Tomaso Buzzi in the late 1950s. For the very first time, this timeless setting is used for an advertising campaign. The result is an almost psychedelic dream suspended in time. Moreover, this effect is greatly amplified by the way the scene is filmed. The movements are jerky, the gazes are supernatural, and even the plants have eyes! Here, Gucci's faces of the campaign are like priestesses engaged in a very particular ceremony. They find a wishing well and perform a ritual, picking flowers and then throwing them into the water. Gradually, the flowers fly away and wishes are granted. As a side note, some scenes of the advertisement for Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori are inspired by the French fantasy film Peau d'Âne, directed by Jacques Demy. The film ultimately ends with a close-up of Florence Welch, holding the bottle of Gucci Bloom Profumo Di Fiori in her hands.
