Bvlgari Man In Black

Bulgari launched Bvlgari Man in Black in 2014, the year of its 130th anniversary. The eau de parfum extends Bvlgari Man, released in 2010, and Bvlgari Man Extreme, forming the third chapter of the line.

The myth of Vulcan

The house drew on the myth of Vulcan, the Roman god of fire. Luxurious Magazine recounts his fall from Olympus into the Mediterranean and his refuge in the Aeolian Islands, north of Sicily, between Stromboli and Lipari.

Today the house links the fragrance to the impetuous character of fire, its energy and its primal intensity.

Alberto Morillas and tuberose

The fragrance is signed by Alberto Morillas. In remarks reported by Luxurious Magazine, the perfumer speaks of a modern neo-oriental, new to the house’s world, and says he has rarely been able to use tuberose in a masculine fragrance: he disguised it by playing on contrasts between leather, amber, precious resins and tonka bean.

Now Smell This announced it in 2014 in 30, 60 and 100 ml. The eau de parfum is sold today in 60, 100 and 150 ml, with a 200 ml refill; the house also offers Bvlgari Man in Black Parfum.
