First, note that the bottle of Gentleman is not diametrically opposed to that of its predecessor, quite the contrary. Indeed, its design has evolved very little compared to its very first edition. Initially, its bottle had a square, rigorous shape, topped with a small shiny silver metal cap. The corners of this bottle were slightly rounded. A simple silver label bore its name on the front face, while a small rounded black neck served as the link between these two parts. It was then the embodiment of Givenchy's elegance, displaying a modern style with restraint. Now, overall, this philosophy has clearly been respected. As in the past, the bottle of Gentleman is made of a glass rectangle, whose corners have been rounded. Note however that these are even rounder than they originally were. The cap of Gentleman as well as its neck have preserved their original shape. Just like the Gentleman of 1975, the Gentleman of 2017 goes straight to the essential and burdens itself with no excess.
Gentleman by Givenchy, a refined yet deceptively casual bottle
Today, the Gentleman by Givenchy has a base more imposing than before. Indeed, its sturdy glass rests on an even more solid base. Its neck is no longer black, but this shade appears instead on its cap, which is entirely opaque. Likewise, an imposing band encircles the whole, serving as its label. This is entirely black, worn like an elegant tuxedo. However, no other element adds any extra refinement to this visual. Thus, Givenchy's suit seems to be worn in a contemporary way, more relaxed than before. The whole of this container takes on a very modern shape. Its lines are clean. Its glass, meanwhile, is slightly frosted, which gives it greater novelty. Full of contrasts, Gentleman by Givenchy combines the transparency of glass with a few dark and opaque elements.
