Encre Noire à L'Extrême
Encre Noire à l’extrême, more powerful than ever. René Lalique was born in 1860. In 1886, he took over the workshop of Jules Destape, Place Gaillon in Paris, where he made and offered his own creations. Very quickly, these met with unquestioned success.

The Universal Exhibition was then the apotheosis of his career as a jeweler. It was starting in 1910, after his meeting with René Coty, that René Lalique turned to perfumery. His first perfume, Lalique de Lalique, was released in 1992. Almost 10 years after the launch of Encre Noire, the house Lalique presents Encre Noire à l’extrême, a fragrance more powerful than ever.
Encre Noire à l’extrême, or masculine sensuality reinvented
Encre Noire is the fragrance of an elegant, charismatic and shadowy man. This first fragrance referred to René Lalique, to his origins. If Encre Noire à l’extrême does not reject this reference, it pushes the masculine sensuality of its elder to its limits, its ultimate limits. The fragrance reveals an unsuspected masculine intensity, and the personality of the Encre Noire à l’extrême man is laid bare. He is virile and sensual, elegant and refined, singular and seductive. The Encre Noire à l’extrême man is extremely seductive. He likes to feel eyes on him, and this reassures his sensual strength. He also likes to play with seduction, and his power is limitless, but above all, he likes to please. Encre Noire à l’extrême reinvents masculine sensuality through a powerful accord of cypress and vetiver. More powerful and richer than its predecessor, Encre Noire à l’extrême is the new definition of man… A woody intensity for an unforgettable sillage.
The intense notes of Encre Noire à l’extrême
The fragrance of Encre Noire à l’extrême is powerful, strong and virile, in the image of the contemporary man. Encre Noire à l’extrême opens with the freshness of bergamot. This combines with the aromatic woody freshness of cypress as well as the roundness of elemi. The heart is charged with iris, a rare and very expensive ingredient in perfumery, paired with the flagship ingredient of the composition, Java vetiver and Haiti vetiver. The base is meant to be sensual and enveloping thanks to the presence of patchouli, sandalwood and benzoin. The bottle is shaped like a glass cube. Transparent, it reveals the color of the fragrance, cognac. Half black, half transparent, the bottle is topped with a heavy cabochon of lacquered black wood.
More powerful than Encre Noire, Encre Noire à l’extrême is the fragrance of a strong and virile man. The origins are still those of a charismatic man, but the latter is meant to be more self-assured, more seductive. The notes are also sensual and vetiver takes pride of place for an ultra-masculine composition.
