The fragrance of Encre Noire à l’extrême is powerful, strong and virile, in the image of the contemporary man. Encre Noire à l’extrême opens with the freshness of bergamot. This combines with the aromatic woody freshness of cypress as well as the roundness of elemi. The heart is charged with iris, a rare and very expensive ingredient in perfumery, paired with the flagship ingredient of the composition, Java vetiver and Haiti vetiver. The base is meant to be sensual and enveloping thanks to the presence of patchouli, sandalwood and benzoin. The bottle is shaped like a glass cube. Transparent, it reveals the color of the fragrance, cognac. Half black, half transparent, the bottle is topped with a heavy cabochon of lacquered black wood.
