Where to buy

Yet at its release in 1997 the trend leaned toward strong, dark, troubling perfumes, which did not stop Le Monde est Beau from scattering its petals toward the lovers of happiness, won over. Cascades of colors, children and naive daisies, Kenzo's communication would unfold in a fragrant rainbow!

Le Monde est Beau, Kenzo's world is a sunny garden of beautiful flowers...

From Kenzo Takada's first clothing creations to the creation of the first perfumes such as Kenzo, Parfum d'Été or Le Monde est Beau, Kenzo haute couture aims to convey a joyful, colorful, sparkling and light spirit. It is therefore natural that for this perfume, Le Monde est Beau, the communication should be as floral and joyful as the fragrance bursts with fruity and colorful scents.

Yet at the time, perfumes were above all expected to be embodied by a “typical” woman. Regardless, Kenzo would only choose an ambassador much later, preferring to convey poetic, even childlike images, in the case of Le Monde est Beau, rather than those of a glossy-paper woman.

Thus the visual for the perfume Le Monde est Beau is carried by an enormous bright yellow daisy spreading messages of peace and love on its petals. Afterward, it is small children's hands holding out the delicate bottle of Le Monde est Beau as though offering a bouquet of flowers. The colors are vivid, the messages poetic and lyrical, for a perfume that aims to be: the fragrance of happiness and joie de vivre, an echo of nature, a source of life according to Kenzo.

Flowers, fruits, joy and fantasy for Le Monde est Beau

Why not change the water, the flowers, the colors while keeping the same vase? said Kenzo Takada, as a starting idea for the creation of his perfume Le Monde est Beau. It was therefore logical that the vase of this joyful fragrance (the same one previously used for Ça Sent Beau) be designed around a pebble vase topped with a magnificent glass flower opening like a fresh bouquet before our admiring eyes.

Daniela Andrier, the creator of the fragrant composition of Le Monde est Beau, imagined this new Kenzo as a walk through a garden. First, the top notes take us to encounter blackcurrant and cherry fruits enhanced by the sparkle of mandarin. The green note carries us along in its sillage to reveal paths of jasmine and magnolia flowers, precious and intoxicating. Iris powders with its majestic boldness the base notes of cedar and vetiver, carrying us delightfully toward the end of our bucolic walk before leading us into the undergrowth.

A flower landed on a pebble. There it bloomed and gave back in return a rare, luminous, essential fragrance. Kenzo for Le Monde est Beau.

Olfastory’s review

The fragrance of a magnificent universe according to Kenzo Released in 1997, Le Monde est Beau is the fragrance of happiness and joie de vivre. Ultra positive, Le Monde est Beau invites a new philosophy of life. Le Monde est Beau is like an olfactory walk through a tangy garden. It should be noted that Le Monde est Beau is Kenzo Takada's favorite phrase. Moreover, he liked to think of gardens on a grand scale and he added why not change the water, the flowers, while keeping the same vase?
