Aqua Allegoria Florabloom

Guerlain launched Aqua Allegoria Florabloom in early 2024 as an eau de toilette, alongside Florabloom Forte, its eau de parfum version. Now Smell This announced both fragrances at the end of January; Moodie Davitt placed them in Guerlain boutiques from March 1.

A superbloom

The house draws on superblooms, a rare phenomenon in which, after heavy rain, the desert is covered with carpets of multicolored flowers; Moodie Davitt cites the Atacama Desert in Chile. Delphine Jelk sees it as a celebration of the power and beauty, wild and poetic, of nature.

Delphine Jelk, Guerlain’s perfume creation director, signed the composition. She told Moodie Davitt she fell in love with a tuberose pomade from Grasse, the product of an old craft that she finds very modern.

Florabloom joins the Aqua Allegoria collection, which Guerlain has devoted to nature since 1999 and whose fragrances contain 90 to 95% natural-origin ingredients, with French beetroot alcohol. It is sold in seventy-five and one hundred twenty-five milliliters, and as a two-hundred-milliliter refill.
