Delphine Jelk was not initially destined to enter the world of perfumery. She first studied fashion and gained experience in perfume marketing. It was through this that she became drawn to this uncommon world. She then enrolled at the Institut de Parfumerie de Grasse, from which she graduated with a diploma. She first took a position within the company Drom. This company is considered the “Tom Thumb” of the global perfumery market, which is dominated by true giants. It is a German family business with only five production units worldwide, but with unrivaled creativity and responsiveness. It was there that Delphine Jelk honed her skills, developing a flawless technique capable of giving rise to the greatest successes.

Delphine Jelk at Guerlain

After several years spent at Drom Fragrances, Delphine Jelk created a fragrance for the house Guerlain named La Petite Robe Noire. In fact, this fragrance was initially a quiet launch, intended only to be sold within the Guerlain house's Parisian boutique. Delphine Jelk thus created its very first version in 2009. Given its success, La Petite Robe Noire was reinterpreted by Thierry Wasser, becoming at the same time more commercial. The rest, as they say, is history. Today, La Petite Robe Noire is one of the best-known fragrances in the world.

Buoyed by this success, Delphine Jelk joined the Guerlain team in 2013 alongside Thierry Wasser and Frédéric Sacone. This opened up a bright creative future for her within one of the most reputable houses on the planet.
