The great Aqua Allegoria collection

It was in 1999 that the Aqua Allegoria collection made its very first appearance. It was then composed of five fragrant waters paying tribute to fresh raw materials. The idea was to win over a younger audience while giving a nod to the history of perfumery, notably to the iconic Eaux de Cologne. Success was immediate, so much so that Guerlain decided to develop new editions every year. Today, the Aqua Allegoria collection is one of the most extensive olfactory ranges on the perfumery market. Each of these fragrances is a kind of luminous, sparkling interpretation of a garden. This garden can be located anywhere in the world, whether in India, California, Italy, Venezuela or Réunion Island. This time, however, Guerlain seems to have decided to stay close to home, at the heart of Provence. Aqua Allegoria Rosa Fizz takes us to the Grasse region, a city famous for its many perfume houses and its rose fields stretching as far as the eye can see.

The new Rosa Fizz by Guerlain

As always, Aqua Allegoria Rosa Fizz comes in the iconic bottle of the Aqua Allegoria range. This is a modern adaptation of the Flacon aux Abeilles created in 1853 for Eau de Cologne Impériale. It consists of a gilded metal dome chiseled in a honeycomb pattern. This plays with light and sits atop a cylindrical base available in multiple colors. Today, this base is pink, echoing its main ingredient. Likewise, its freshness comes through in a frosted glass quite different from the transparency the house of Guerlain has accustomed us to. On the scent side, Aqua Allegoria Rosa Fizz is signed by nose Thierry Wasser, Guerlain's exclusive perfumer since 2008. An unconventional, creative and sensitive figure, he brings here all his love for women combined with his unmatched mastery of raw materials. Aqua Allegoria Rosa Fizz opens with a fresh, fruity start. This combines lychee, blackcurrant and mandarin. Its gourmand character then carries through into its heart. This releases a juicy, sweet breath of plum paired with the elegance of rose and peony. Finally, Aqua Allegoria Rosa Fizz gradually gains in sensuality, leaving behind a trio of scents composed of sandalwood, white musk and benzoin.
