Each of its fragrances goes hand in hand with its counterpart, always forming a pair set within an atmosphere all its own. Thus, the Black XS duo draws us into a very rock universe. Moreover, the Black XS woman came into being in 2007, two years after its masculine predecessor.
The rock 'n' roll spirit of Paco Rabanne
If Black XS appeared as a rebellious boy, clad in leather and easily imagined astride a powerful motorcycle, its feminine counterpart lacks no temperament either. Black XS pour Elle is a surprising fragrance, designed for a woman whom Paco Rabanne delights in calling “barock'n roll.” In other words, it is meant for today's rebellious princesses. It is at once very elegant while being particularly impertinent. Thus, it fits perfectly with the image one has of contemporary women, always in motion and at full speed. Undeniably, Paco Rabanne suggests here that woman is indeed the equal of man. Black XS pour Elle carries a look halfway between modernity and vintage, glamour and the tomboy look. It is the perfume of strong women with the gift of turning heads and leading men by the nose. It thus acts like a bewitching spell. It is ultra-feminine, absolutely carnal and thoroughly voluptuous. Consider yourself warned, Black XS pour Elle could well make you the most seductive woman there is!
Black XS pour Elle, a floral and seductive rebel
On the scent side, Emilie Coppermann and Mark Buxton, the perfumers in charge of its creation, chose to opt for a floral, fruity and woody fragrance. It all begins with tamarind flower paired with pink pepper as well as cranberry. Suffice it to say this is an explosive and particularly sparkling opening! Then, its heart evolves toward a dangerous flower: hellebore. It reveals rosy and narcotic accents. It gives off very mysterious effluvia and prompts as much intrigue as fascination. Then, as if to underscore the character of Paco Rabanne's strong woman, he chose to finish Black XS pour Elle with a concentrated woody accord. Furthermore, this perfume's sillage contains massoia wood and patchouli. Vanilla accentuates its gourmand and addictive side. The whole thus reveals itself as very feminine and particularly sexy. This magic potion is then presented in a bottle with voluptuous curves. While Black XS pour Elle appears black on the outside, it takes on a purplish pink hue at its heart. Its cap is inspired by that of a bottle of old, containing magical elixirs. A rose is then sculpted in relief on its glass while its thorny branches beautifully illustrate the rock side of the Paco Rabanne woman.

Chains and black rose
Bianca Balti poses with chains around her neck for the 2007 launch, under a tagline addressed to rebellious princesses.
The launch visual shows Bianca Balti wearing chains around her neck, under a tagline addressed to girls of the moment and rebellious princesses. The Italian model is the face of the campaign for the perfume; an online biography also credits her as the protagonist of a television spot, and places her start in this role in 2007.
Osmoz frames the campaign around the angle of a barock'n'roll princess. The line changes faces with its subsequent editions: Sky Ferreira and Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis appear for Black XS Los Angeles in 2016.
