The contrasting flavors of 1 Million Cologne

Originally, the 1 Million fragrance was created by a trio of perfumers composed of Christophe Raynaud, Olivier Pescheux and Michel Girard. Together, they first chose to work around bright, oriental and fruity flavors. The 2015 version of this fragrance, 1 Million Cologne, comes across as fresher and more spoonable. This juice is a kind of energizing cocktail, paired with a marine accord and warmed by an ardent heat in its sillage. 1 Million Cologne opens on a blend of citrus dominated by mandarin. Cardamom also reinforces the freshness and intensity of these marine notes. Then, it continues into its heart. The dynamism of 1 Million Cologne resides here rather in the presence of juniper berries. Rose then reinforces the elegance of the whole. Do not be fooled by its silky petals, as this flower seems here to be worked in its most tempting and vivid aspect. Finally, 1 Million Cologne reveals the full extent of its sensuality. Its base blends the pronounced character of patchouli with the animalic quality of leather. The whole is nevertheless softened by the enveloping presence of tonka bean.
