Rabanne’s 1 Million: the whole line, from 2008 to 2026

The original: blood mandarin, grapefruit and mint at the top, cinnamon and rose at the heart, leather, amber, patchouli and woods at the base. The 2008 film features Mat Gordon to Do It Again by the Chemical Brothers.

Michel Girard and Olivier Pescheux load the mandarin with cardamom, saffron, nutmeg and cumin, then set iris and blond leather on sandalwood. The black-and-white launch film brings together Dree Hemingway and Mat Gordon.

The line’s summer reading, ranked among the aquatic citrus fragrances: mandarin and a marine accord, juniper berry and rose absolute, tonka bean and a leather accord.

Christophe Raynaud signs this oriental woody scent alone, released with Lady Million Privé: the original’s blood mandarin and cinnamon slide toward hookah tobacco and myrrh. The gold bar darkens into shades of amber.

For the tenth anniversary of 1 Million, a woody gourmand built around a roasted hazelnut accord, opened by a tangy plum and signed by a white cedar. Rabanne associates it with Nathalie Gracia-Cetto.

Quentin Bisch and Christophe Raynaud compose a solar leather: grapefruit, salty tuberose, pine and cashmeran, leather and amber woods. Quentin Bisch traces its origin to a sunscreen and a cistus sample broken in his leather bag.

A gourmand amber: davana and apple, Damask rose, osmanthus and cedar, vanilla absolute, tonka bean and patchouli. The gold bar is adorned with a sculpted black triangle.

A fresh woody scent carried by lavender, cedar and benzoin, which the house presents as the most opulent version of the line.

Christophe Raynaud and Quentin Bisch make it woody, spicy and amber: cardamom, mandarin and a violet accord, rose, pink peppercorns and cinnamon, sandalwood, Akigalawood and cypriol. The gold bar wears the XL link.

Aliénor Massenet, Suzy Le Helley, Nathalie Benareau and Loc Dong set a sparkling rose against white flowers, on a mineral, salty musk. Gigi Hadid is its face.

The house calls it inspired by niche perfumery, around a liqueur-like vanilla blended with a yellow mandarin and a creamy sandalwood. The gold bar is set with an amber stone.

The woody incarnation of the grand floral: jasmine absolute and ylang-ylang on a rich sandalwood. The faceted bottle takes on a light smoky glaze, and Gigi Hadid crosses a golden dance floor in the film by Manu Cossu and Mert Alas.

A limited edition the house calls amber and woody, born of its nights: a fresh mandarin, an addictive maple syrup, amber. The gold bar shifts in a gradient from gold to black.

A limited edition, sold on the house’s website, that cuts a fruity facet into Million Gold for Her: velvety peach, ylang-ylang, jasmine absolute, musk. Angélina, of the Ambiance & Fragrance blog, finds it fruitier and more summery than the original.

Christophe Raynaud and Quentin Bisch build this women’s fragrance on three materials, a creamy coconut, a radiant ylang-ylang and an addictive vanilla, in a bottle turned red. Angélina finds it opulent but heavy.

Released in August, it opens on pineapple, blood orange and cardamom, builds its center on a trio of vanillas softened by coconut and closes on ebony, patchouli and tonka bean. The gold bar turns black.
