Le Sel d’Issey Parfum

Le Sel d’Issey Parfum is the third chapter, in parfum concentration, of Issey Miyake’s Le Sel d’Issey line, released in 2026 and signed by Quentin Bisch. The house describes it as woody, marine and leathery: a salt accord and a saffron accord meet marine seaweed and dark woods, over a base of amber accord and oakmoss, in a bottle with a dark brown gradient.

Where to buy

Le Sel d’Issey Parfum is the third chapter of the line Issey Miyake devotes to salt, opened in 2024 with an eau de toilette and extended in 2025 with an eau de parfum. Quentin Bisch, who signs the entire line, once again composed the formula.

The house presents it as the meeting of two poles pushed to the extreme, the cold sea and the burning rocks of the land. The perfumer reinforces the eau de toilette’s signature with a spicy, vibrant facet, and the line gains a leathery facet.

Salt turned black

Issey Miyake tells of a salt that turns black on contact with the ardent land and concentrates its energy there. The fragrance is vegan: the house says it contains 92% ingredients of natural origin, including marine seaweed and oakmoss, and is formulated with French alcohol.

It comes in 50 and 100 ml bottles, refillable with a 150 ml refill, and the house specifies that it is made in France.

What critics say

Eddie Bulliqi sees it as a new Quentin Bisch classic, the strangest and most tense of the three Sel d’Issey: a spicy seaweed cream, saffron-tinged, with a dry leather, which he considers very accomplished.
