Kouros Silver

In 1981, the house of YSL unveiled Kouros, the fragrance of a Greek god. 34 years later, the house presents Kouros Silver, the hero of modern times.

Kouros Silver, YSL's ultra-modern Greek god

In 1981, YSL presented Kouros. With its overdose of animalic, intoxicating and sensual notes, Kouros had the effect of a bombshell in the world of masculine perfumes. The Kouros man is as handsome as a Greek god and attracts every covetous glance. In 2000, the house decided to expand the family with Body Kouros, an ultra-sexy fougère. Finally, in 2015, YSL unveiled a new flanker with Kouros Silver. The third installment of the Kouros saga does not depart from the rule of extreme sensuality. The legendary fragrance nonetheless offers a multifaceted modernity. Olivier Pescheux, one of the two noses, states that their objective was to imagine something very different from the original while staying within the same vein, the same sensuality; Kouros sends a clear, fast and powerful message that continues to have its fan base, but now they are no longer in that animalic territory. Kouros Silver does not hesitate to display a sensuality without aggressiveness. For the occasion, the statue of the modern god takes on a silvery-gray hue, very contemporary.

The sensual notes of Kouros Silver

Kouros Silver was created by two highly talented perfumers, namely Olivier Pescheux and Michel Girard. Kouros Silver opens on an improbable apple accord. This is joined, in the heart, by sage, used here in overdose, echoing the lavender used in the original fragrance. The base is an ultra-sensual blend of amber and an amber wood accord. The bottle, meanwhile, takes up the main codes of its predecessor. In an ultra-contemporary spirit, metallic gray replaces the original's white color. As its name indicates, Silver is the metallic color, that of the modern and sensual god, omnipresent here. The color gives the whole a powerful, charismatic and very modern rendering.

The third installment of the Kouros saga, Kouros Silver embodies modernity, the contemporary sensual man. Here, the Greek gods take on the guise of modern, ultra-virile heroes.
