The very first Terre d’Hermès of 2006 had been created by Jean-Claude Ellena. However, he has now handed over his place to Christine Nagel, the official perfumer of the Hermès house. It is therefore to her that the difficult task of revisiting this legend was entrusted. Through her creation, Christine Nagel sought to conceive a handful of Earth, a handful of ice, a fragrance in which the Earth blows hot and cold. It all begins with the zesty and tangy breath of citron, then this citrus fruit is followed by a more contrasted heart, whose striking breath of juniper berries contrasts with the more spicy and warm power of Timut pepper. At its base, Terre d’Hermès Eau Givrée concludes with woody and mineral notes typical of the Terre d’Hermès collection.
Hermès’s icy and sustainable bottle
Like all the fragrances in the Terre d’Hermès collection, Terre d’Hermès Eau Givrée comes in the house’s iconic H bottle. Indeed, it is a slender and luminous object, whose base traces the letter H. To evoke the new icy side of this fragrance, the bottle of Terre d’Hermès Eau Givrée this time features fully frosted glass along with a brushed aluminum cap. More environmentally friendly and sustainable, it is entirely made from recyclable materials. What is more, it is a refillable fragrance. In terms of size, Terre d’Hermès Eau Givrée is available in 50 ml or 100 ml bottles. Its refill, meanwhile, is 125 ml.
