Eau de Néroli Doré
Eaux de Cologne are today considered by perfumers to be much more than mere fragrances. They represent a heritage that perfumers continually reinterpret. Indeed, for many years, Eaux de Cologne were the only fragrances worn by men.

Where to buy
It is thus a return to its origins that the house of Hermès offers through the creation of a collection named Les Colognes. Each of the fragrances making up this assemblage is always highly anticipated by the public. The latest, Eau de Néroli Doré, is no exception to the rule, and its flavor built on orange blossom has already won over the public to a very large extent.
The Les Colognes collection by Hermès
More than 30 years ago, Françoise Caron created a fragrance now considered one of Hermès's best-sellers: L'Eau d'Orange Verte. This fresh essence echoed the famous Colognes of old, fragrances that for Françoise Caron are synonymous with “simple scent”, while specifying that “simplicity does not mean a lack of character”. Greatly inspired by this iconic fragrance from the house of Hermès, Jean-Claude Ellena decided to create an entire collection derived from this first perfumed opus. He then chose to name his line Les Colognes d'Hermès. This is how l'Eau de Pamplemousse Rose, l'Eau de Gentiane Blanche and l'Eau de Narcisse Bleu followed one another. Each year, two new fragrances come to enrich this collection, to the great delight of the house's fans. In this continuity, Hermès created the Eau de Néroli Doré.
Orange blossom at the heart of Eau de Néroli Doré
Jean-Claude Ellena explains its composition as follows: whereas usually very little neroli is put into fragrances, he put it in abundance, as he liked, as never before. Indeed, this perfumer particularly loves orange blossom. Moreover, it is a raw material he began to explore very early in his career as a perfumer. This is how he decided to showcase it in the form of this new fresh and floral fragrance. This fragrance is intended for men and women alike. It opens with a fresh citrus cocktail dominated, in this case, by bitter orange. Then, it is in the heart of this fragrance that neroli takes center stage. Neroli is the name given to the essential oil obtained from the distillation of orange blossom. Here it releases a scent that is at once floral, rich, citrusy, zesty and suave. Finally, as if to add a touch of spice and character to this ensemble, one of the most prestigious ingredients in the world brings this composition to a close. Eau de Néroli Doré contains saffron, a true red gold with a vibrant, spicy character. The whole reveals itself as particularly vivid and radiant while remaining very generous.
