The One for Men Parfum

Dolce & Gabbana takes The One for men into a parfum concentration, signed by Jean-Christophe Hérault. The house assigns only four materials to stages: black pepper and tarocco orange at the opening, labdanum at the heart, tobacco at the base. Its own classification is ambery spicy, for what it gives as a darker rereading of its eau de parfum.

Dolce & Gabbana has widened its men's The One line with a parfum concentration, the strongest it has carried. The house presents it as a rereading of its eau de parfum, pushed toward a signature it calls deeper and more sensual.

What the house says

The discourse takes intensity for elegance. The house speaks of a refined sensuality meeting masculine strength, of a warm and enveloping trail, and claims a contemporary embodiment of Italian sophistication.

A named author

Jean-Christophe Hérault signs the composition exclusively for Dolce & Gabbana. The house names him on its product page, and its French and American retailers repeat the attribution without variation.

Its place in the line

The One was born in 2006. The house marked its twentieth year with a January 2026 campaign and with two new creations, one for women and one for men. The men's parfum is the second, alongside an eau de toilette from 2008 and an eau de parfum not yet covered here.

What critics say

A single signed review judges the fragrance to date. Varanis Ridari hears in it a thick, leathery, ambery tobacco, which he takes for a composition of its own rather than a reinforced eau de parfum.

Madonna and Alberto Guerra by Mert Alas

For the twentieth year of The One, Mert Alas films Madonna opposite Alberto Guerra; the singer records a cover of La Bambola for the campaign.

The campaign for the twentieth year of The One appears in January 2026. Mert Alas photographs and directs it. Madonna takes the lead role, opposite Cuban actor Alberto Guerra, in a closed setting Le Journal du Luxe describes as sultry.

Madonna also lends her voice. She records a cover of Patty Pravo's La Bambola for the campaign, singing in Italian for the first time. She told Vogue Italia that she worked several versions of the track in the studio, including a dance version.

The house tells of a passion crossed with jealousy and desire, building to a kiss. The film covers the entire The One collection and does not distinguish the men's version from the women's.
