Jean-Christophe Herault following in his father's footsteps

Jean-Christophe Herault grew up in France in the Grasse region, the capital of perfumery since the 17th century. His father, like many residents of the region, worked in connection with the perfume industry. However, he did not own his own company and was simply an employee. As a result, he never really had the opportunity to involve his son in his work. Nevertheless, he still managed to introduce him to the world of scents. Thus, from adolescence, Jean-Christophe Herault began to develop an interest in this profession. He was literally captivated by the personality and power of certain men's fragrances. This is why he decided to study chemistry at university. From then on, his father used his connections and secured him an internship in a laboratory in Grasse. This was a true revelation for him. Indeed, Jean-Christophe Herault considers that it was at that moment that he truly fell in love with perfumery. During this internship, he met perfumer Pierre Bourdon, who took him under his wing and mentored him. He awakened in him a certain artistic sensibility, and this is how Jean-Christophe Herault became a perfumer. Working for the huge company IFF, he had the chance to collaborate with several great exceptional houses such as Balenciaga, Thierry Mugler, Karl Lagerfeld and Chopard.
