L'Eau Bleue

This juice did not hesitate to subvert established codes, rejecting expectation and cultivating freedom. Given its success, Miu Miu chose to develop a fresher version. This one made its appearance in February 2017 and is called L'Eau Bleue, in reference to the predominant color of its bottle.

The spring-like spirit of L'Eau Bleue

Although L'Eau Bleue appeared in February, this fragrance serves as a sort of introduction to spring. It is indeed a sparkling, fresh and floral scent, akin to the gentle morning dew settling on the petals of fresh flowers. Its scent opens with the presence of lily, a flower that symbolizes purity in many cultures. It is also enriched with a delicate floral accord of lily of the valley. These little bells are then followed by a heart resembling a highly airy concentrate of white flowers. The whole proves very feminine while being particularly luminous. However, the warmth of the day gradually takes hold at the heart of this fragrance. L'Eau Bleue becomes more pronounced over time, eventually leaving behind a woodier accord built around oud wood. This ingredient is here embellished with peppery notes. Thus, beneath its apparent clarity, this fragrance does not forget its origins. It is a final nod to the impertinence of the first Miu Miu woman. The whole was created by the same perfumer as its predecessor, the talented Daniela Andrier. A perfumer at Givaudan, this German nose enjoys weaving memory into a fragrance. According to her, a fragrance should be able to trigger a kind of déjà-vu while also bringing something new to it. This is precisely what is found in L'Eau Bleue. This fragrance draws on our own memories of spring, as if to reveal our emotions with even greater intensity.

The infinitely chic bottle of Miu Miu

L'Eau Bleue is this time presented in a lighter bottle than before, a way of symbolizing its freshness. It still carries its turquoise color on its wide base. The idea was to evoke a quilted look through a glassmaker's craftsmanship. Thus, the design of L'Eau Bleue recalls the aesthetic of Miu Miu bags. Its white neck, stamped with the brand's logo, is still present, bringing a more pop touch to the whole. However, its once translucent red disc has given way to a more yellow color, still just as graphic. This bottle is anything but ordinary and delights in playing on contrasts. This interplay of blue and yellow is akin to the contrast of morning freshness warmed by the first rays of sunlight. The whole resonates as an ode to youth and femininity while respecting the offbeat style of the house of Miu Miu.
